So I was watching an old episode of four weddings and saw the “mashed potato bar” where u have ur mashed taters in one big heated pan and have all your toppings in a bow for guests to pick what toppings they want, but my question is what do I have the guests put the taters in
* martini glass
* or something else?
and where do I find heat proof martini disposable glasses? hmmmm little help ladies!

We are doing this too and using martini glasses. You can use anything you want though. I’m not sure about finding disposable one’s, our caterer is providing them for us.

i’ve seen this in martini glasses. ask your caterer if they can provide them.

Do you have a professional caterer? They should be able to locate glassware for you, so that might be the place to start.
I think martini glasses would be cute for serving. You can rent glassware from some party rental places (One Stop Party Shop, etc.), but I’ve no idea of the cost.
You could probably get away with using plastic, since mashed potatoes are not crazy hot. I’ve seen some really nice quality plastic (heavy plastic too) glasses at the Dollar stores. They had wine glasses and all sorts of other glasses, so they may have martini as well.

I dont know about martini disposables, but the Chinet Cut Crystal is pretty nice adn you could use the short glass. I think it would stand up fine to the taters.

If your guests will be seated you can use anything you want. If they will be standing or walking around, it is easier to have a glass with a stem for them to hold wih one hand, so they can use the other hand for their fork.
or something like this that will also hold their wine glass

We are not having a caterer… mainly a pot luck with few family members helping with cooking… so much cheaper for us and I am hiring 2 friends to cook in the kitchen provided to us but just am unsure of what to put the mashed potatoes in that wont burn them haha its buffet style so they would have to walk from their table to buffet then back…. i found some at oriental trading but i am wondering if they will work hmmm
