So I am having trouble with finding my bridesmaids dresses. I have my colors set(Grey/silver, shades of pinks and purples) and I want my girls in the grey/silver.
I have two problems:
1) I am trying to find unique looking dresses. I can’t seem to fall in love with the many bridesmaids dresses that I have looked at either online or in the salons. I have told my girls that I am open to them wearing the same color, but different dresses or even doing a few in the grey/silver, a few in purple, & a few in pink.
2) I hav found some really interesting dresses and combos, but I don’t want to make my girls spend over like $150.
Please help!!! I really need some suggestions.

Siri makes cool dresses in lots of different shapes and each one comes in tons of different fabrics, many of which have a metallic sheen. But I think they are closer to $200.

I got dresses for my girls at SAK’s and they are by Shoshanna. She has some great dresses and I think her fall/winter collection may have a grey or silver dress. The dresses tend to be above $150 but since many department store carry this designer you can often find them on sale or open a credit card and save a good amount. Good luck!

you’re being pretty considerate. I’m in a wedding and the bride didn’t even blink when she told us these are the $280 dresses you’ll be getting. yeah. So sorry, no real help or imput. But yay you for being an awesome considerate person.

Try the stores like Nordstrom and Macy’s and stuff
Yay for being frugal! I gag at spending more than $200 on a BM dress. I don’t spend that on myself in real life, why suddenly for a wedding, right?

Here is an idea….what if you picked a bridesmaids dress and added a unique accessories….like a chunky bangle for one girl, long pearl necklace for another…..something like that. I have seen so many brides get really creative with adding lace to their bridesmaids dresses, or textured sashes. you might try alfredangelo.com or morilee.com and pick a more simple dress…then dress is up with fun shoes or accessories.

I would try J. Crew…they have great dresses and the colours you have selected are wearable long after the wedding so if they are a little more expensive the girls might not be bothered by it considering the dress as an investment that they can wear again. I also love ETSY.com…they’re have some amazing designers that will make dresses to your specs and many are under $150. You can either search dresses or bride’s maid dresses or try Alchemy which is part of ETSY and then designers will bid to make your dresses in the price range you want. This might be the way to go, you get a custom unique look for your wedding (or your girls can each customize their own) the girls get a beautiful one of a kind dress, and you have helped an artist get their work out there…who knows the next time you hear that designer they might be showing their collection at fashion week : ) Good luck!

My MOH is wearing a dress from Bari Jay. I think a lot of their dresses are unique looking. They retail for $150-$200, but you can get discounts online and through stores that offer 15-20% off.
