I think you could really have some fun rocking the gap. As long as you stick with a fairly delicate band, I don’t think you need to worry about overshadowing your ring. That topaz can hold its own!

I did a quick google and I think anything like one of these, as well as your marquise option above, would look great with it.

yes, I happen to adore that style of ring!

this one is somewhat similar to the band you are thinking of:


note that they can really customize things. for example, this ring is also available in a smaller (dantier) width but is not advertised on the website.  also, they can make these bands a 1/2 or 3/4 eternity which will cut the price down a bit. just email them and they will walk you through it! 

also, it looks like the stones in the band of your e-ring are a combination of channel / pave set. I can’t remember what that is called, but there are lots of rings out there where the stones are set in that way.  if you take your ring into a jeweler, they might be able to help you!
