We’re having a boy and the middle name will be Joseph (family name on both sides). I want a southern/manly name, my favorite is Hudson but DH hates it. My back up is Weston or Gentry, but he’s not completely sold. I don’t want anything too common or trendy, or with multiple spellings (Jayen, Jaiden, Jaden, Jadyn…) And no unisex names (Payton, Casey, Alex, Cameron, Riley…) I have one and people always get mine wrong, plus if it’s a boy with a unisex name it seems girly to me. I just don’t love anything as much as I love Hudson, any ideas?

Jase, Levi, Grady, Tripp?

If you like Weston, what about Wesley instead? I have a student named Wesley but every one called him Wes. He’s originally from Texas too so that’s what made me think of the name.

I like Levi. Also, Colton or Colby?

I love Brad Paisley’s son’s name – Jasper and Eric Church’s son’s name – Boone. My DH quickly shot them both down, so maybe someone else could use them 🙂

@MrsB1015: Hubby likes Jase, but with other spellings (Jace, Jayce…) I don’t want to use it. Plus I see Jase as a cute baby name but not so much as a working professional name.
@SnowInApril: Wesley just doesn’t sound like a masculine name to me.
@missrobots: We live in Texas so Dallas is out lol. Hubby Loves Colton/Colt, but I just don’t think I’m crazy about it.
@MLDoddie: We liked Ryder but it just doesn’t seem like a name that will carry into adulthood. Lots of names are cute baby names, but they don’t fit a 45 year old working professional…
@beachbride1216: I like Grayson but he doesn’t think it sounds good with the MN

How about Johnny? Like Mr Cash. Or Mr Walker. I think that is THE most classic, strong, simple men’s name ever! And on the chance he winds up a genius on Wall St or the President, “Johnathan” is a very respectable business name!
