    Ok so I have my heart set on these two dresses (ceremony and reception) and we thought we knew someone in china who could get them made for me but we got word back that they basically told them they couldnt do it (one because of the level of detailed beadwork) and also because I could not try on the dress. I've been reading a ton of posts trying to filter out some of the ways people have bought dresses and gotten good results. My main issue is I need a place that will make me a Custom Designed dress (meaning I have the designs and can send them to whomever) and also finding a place with High quality beadwork and Material soft heavy satin for one dress and very light sheer fabric with light lace for the other.

    I know this is asking a lot but I really would like to find a way to order these from china seeing as there is NO way I could afford them made in the US. If anyone has had really good quality (I dont care if it didnt look exactly like the designer dress) but just really good quality dress made from china can you please let me know how you got it ?? Thanks!!!!

    My best friend, who is getting married this August ordered her dress from lightinthebox. Took about 2 months to get here. And she is way beyond stoked about it. Some of their beading work was a little sloppy. But overall, most of us wouldnt notice. The quality of the dress is perfect. I hadn't heard of many brides ordering from them, but I was certainly impressed. However I dont know if this will help you any, I dont know if they do custom orders. Goodluck.

    @4ever:

    Here are my 2 reviews from the dresses I had done.

    1st dress Laughinghttp://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-dressilyme-china-dress-is-ready

    2nd dress Laughinghttp://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-dressilyme-china-dress-is-ready-part-2

    I love the beading in my two dresses and the material is perfect. I see no flaws. If your dream dress isn't on their website they take custom orders and provide inexpensive quotes.

    From what I have seen, the most successful China replicas are those with simple designs. Most with heavy beadwork wind up being very disappointing. They often substitute crystals for sequins, etc and it winds up looking inexpensive. So try to step back and be realistic, high quality beadwork takes a lot of time and the materials can get expensive, so I honestly don't think it's something you will be satisfied with a replica. Replicas are cheaper for a reason, less expensive fabric, beading, details, and workmanship, so you have to be ready to accept that it most likely will not be as good as the original.

    It sounds like your second dress (sheer with lace) should be suitable for the replica route, but I would strongly advise you to either find a new less intricate design for your first dress if you have to go the replica route.

    If you really think you can't compromise on quality, have you considered just getting one dress and buying used or a sample? I'm gonna guess for 2 replica dresses you are probably looking at close to $300, and I have seen samples and used dresses for sale at that price!

    @FutureMrsSitler:

    Very true some use sequin.

    @4ever:

    I suggest you talk about not using sequin and any materials you prefer with the company you choose.

    One thing I like about millysbridal.com is that they make a sample dress for you and then make your final dress based on your approval. Therefore they can take a long time with one dress but their results are excellent

    I loved dressilyme because they didn't take long but they make excellent qualty. I hear they have the same quality as millybridal. I know I loved it. I have no regrets.

    I hear that coralsbridal does a great job with beadwork and materials. I haven't had experience with them though.

    Between these 3 I think you can feel safe if you are going the custom route. They are great with lace, beading, or complicated designs.

    I am sure some other ladies on the board might have more suggestions.

    Can we see the dresses?

    As stated above if you don't like sequin or prefer something in particular discuss it presales and give them sufficent time to complete your dress.

    Hello again, thanks for all the feedback first let me explain further. The first dress (ceremony dress is not very complicated just made out of high quality silk-satin) I only want one major change from the photo which is to change to a sweetheart neckline. One issue I have run into is that I only have found this one photo of this dress and cannot find and front and back view of the dress (uggghh).

    Second I am not trying to get a "knock-off" dress per se its that both of these dresses are not available to buy (one is from a collection that is no longer available and the other was custom designed to begin with). It is true however I would not ever pay for the original especially since I want changes and we're talking about I dont even know how many thousands of dollars 15k? for the two dresses, no thanks. That being said I dont need them to be "replicas" im not expecting that can even be done, however, I want these dresses to be made out of high quality material and I know that it is a challenge to find people in China who have this (I even had a friend who lives there go to two different shops and theyflat out said they simply are not able to do this kind of detailing (meaning the second (reception) dress).

    to furtureMrsSitler I was not thinking both dresses would be $300 for the quality I am looking for I expect they will cost much more than this even being from China, I was thinking about 1000 for both (hopefully).

    Ok so third and finally I did contact Corals Bridal and they said they could make both dresses ! Yay! but then came issues 1) they wanted another photo of the first dress (I dont know what to do... it doesnt exist!?!) so they said that one would be $420. The reception dress (second dress) however they could only guarantee over 80% close on the beaded and it will be $1000 (eek!) its understandable though considering the detailing, its intense. Well I emailed them more photos and they emailed be back that after seeing the close-ups (and me telling them no sequins!) that sorry but the tailor is not confident he can replicate the beadwork. :(

    sorry this is so long, ok so Im checking my email and I had contacted another place (now i dont know which one) but someone emailed me back saying they could do the first for 412 and second for 477. ... I feel like they will probably not be able to do a decent job though. : ( This is such a frustrating thing now and I know its suppose to be fun but I just moved to a new city with my fiance, have no friends to go dress shopping with here, and I wish I had never seen these dresses because now I dont like anything else and I dont even want to go try on dresses by myself.

    here are the photos of the amazing dresses that I wont be getting:

    Have you tried checking DHGate?, I purchased a dress to do my trash the dress session.

    It is a replica of a Maggie Sottero (Billie) however the beading is pretty sparse compared to the pictures. However I paid $150 total to get it so it serves its purpose

    Took about 1 month to get

    oohh!! This dess is to die for. I think its definetly a Milly Bridal Job. They offer swavorski crystals also. They have excellent beadwork. You can maybe check out their website to see examples and speak with them extensively about the details of the dress.

    I agree with you on likeness. I didn't want a 100% acurate job and I love it that way. I loved my company but I don't think I have seen such detailed beadwork from them. So I would just say Millys because they give you a sample dress as a yes or no and then you can correct any changes. They will then make the actual gown.

    They supposedly have very detailed images of their porcess. Maybe you can check more reviews of them online from actual customers of theirs.

    Omg! I love your dress.

    I found this as an example of their beadwork and their process. They are pretty good! Hope you have time. I hear they may need about 3 months, give or take.

    I absolutely recommend Jasmine's Bridal Shop. You get photos of your dress, and you get involved picking fabric and so on. See their facebook page, and my post:

    I would also recommend Jasmine's Bridal shop = their attention to detail is absolutely amazing, and their replica's look top quality. You can upgrade to Designer grade and they will use all quality materials, but looking at their premium grade - their dresses are still gorgeous.

    Really Really, I shopped around for a China dress store online for such a long time, and their are so many China horror stories out there - but Jasmine's Bridal really seems to be amazing!

    I'm getting my dress from them, and so far, they have contacted me on every single detail, every step of the way. The service has been phenomenal!

    I'm pretty sure I'm getting my dress, and my 2 bridesmaids dresses from Jasmines.

    Jasmines looks amazing - they do a lot of Pronovias replicas, which is the dress brand I want and same with the maids dresses.... so I think we're going with them.
