Were are having a Sunday morning wedding, so the rehearsal is Friday night night. On Saturday night I am staying at a hotel with my sister and 2 bffs. I have a food allergy to gluten, so I don’t want to risk a restaurant and being sick on my wedding day. The hotel is only an hour away from my house, so I don’t have to worry about food spoiling, I just won’t be able to heat anything up in the hotel. We were thinking finger food so that we don’t have to worry about plates, utensils etc.
Does anyone have good hors d’oeuvres ideas that would be filling enough for dinner? The ideas I have come up with so far aren’t enough for a meal.

Check out caterer’s sites that list cocktail hour options — ours will include chicken "lollipops" and other meaty choices that definitely fill people up!

maybe some small skewers of ham or chicken and pineapple, bacon wrapped scallops, or small flatbread pizzas with caramelized onions? you could also do other types of dips to go with bread or crackers, like salmon pate or maybe something with olives?
These are just a few ideas…

What about making some yummy wraps (gluten-free) and taking them with you? Or quesadillas made with corn tortillas? Or tortilla chips and salsa!

What about a fruit plate?
Cold, oil-based pasta salad with gluten-free pasta?
A nice assortment of different types of nuts?
I know you said you’re looking for foods that won’t need plates/utensils, but unless you want everyone standing in front of the food the entire time, you might need to at least have the little plates….
That’s all I have off top of my head but I’ll keep thinking and post again if I come up with more.

Thanks, everone! I love the vege wrap idea and skewers. Pasta salad sounds totally doable too.
