The hotel where we booked our rooms refuses to hand out Out of Town bags at the front desk. WHAT? Total jerks. I’m annoyed.
We can’t change hotels because it’s in a casino and we have limited options. We’re not going to book a block of rooms down teh road, that would be sillly.
So, does anyone have any ideas of how we could get Out of Town bags to our guests other than at the front desk check-in??

That’s a bummer, but I know it does happen. Could you ask if they can do it for a fee? Or you could ask for the room numbers of your guests and personally deliver the Out of Town bags or leave them at their door. Are any of the Out of Town guests coming to the rehearsal dinner? You could do it there too. If not, I would probably just skip the Out of Town bags all together. They are nice, but not necessary.

If your out of town guests are invited to the rehearsal dinner, give it to them then. Or deliver it personally to them when they arrive. If you can’t do this, maybe a family member could.

You can usually get a rooming list when you’ve booked a block of rooms – it will list the name of the guest as well as their room number. If you get that list, you can deliver them (or have someone else deliver them for you).

Our hotel would do it for free if we included EVERYONE in our block (not just OTT), otherwise for “certain” guests out of the block, it was $10/bag. Are you able to have them do your whole block for free? Can you afford that?
Otherwise I would ask for the block listing with room numbers when you check in. Problem with that is sometimes they assign rooms as they are done being cleaned and/or available, so they may not assign rooms until the individuals check in.

You can also use the rooming list to broadcast a phone message to guest room phones, instructing the guests to pick up their Out of Town bags at some central location (not sure if the desk would hold them for pickup).

Because of the semi-destination nature of our wedding, everyone will be Out of Town. I am planning on making bags for everyone, but I don’t know why the hotel is being so difficult and won’t just hand them out when people check in. That, coupled with the ridiculously one-sided terms in the contract, for which we’re receiving a very minimal discount on room pricing, and this hotel is really cheesing me off.
