@FutureMrsShindiggity:  Freeze dried rose petals are what we’re doing. They are biodegradable so no clean up, they last longer then fresh (so you can decorate at 8am and they won’t be wilted by 4pm) and if you just wanted to line the aisle, it wouldn’t be that exensive

FYI they don’t charge you until they ship, and they recommend you order early so they have the colors you want in stock.  If you order a sample, they will send you a $5 off coupon.  There is also a quantity estimator on this page, so you can figure out how many cups you will need
