@eocenia:  Wow, SOOOO jealous. I wish I was crafty. They look great so far. I think  putting the blue and white pattern you have going on in the inside of the envelope. Would also look great for the inside of the card. 🙂 Good luck and can’t wait to see the finished product.

@eocenia:  I would go with a solid color on the inside, just a little smaller than the card itself. Cream or a complimentary blue would work fine.

Love your crochet hearts! I don’t think I’ve seen that pattern before!

@eocenia:  That is absolutely gorgeous! I thought maybe it was an inspiration picture at first but you made that- wow! I think doing the patterned paper with the cream on top would look nice. That is what I typically do for cards so that I don’t have to write on the pattern.

@eocenia:  Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I would love to get one of these in the mail!

Have you considered a punch for the inside paper? I love Martha Stewart punches from Michaels. Perhaps something like this? http://store.scrapbook.com/ms-42-40091.html?t12-13=martha+stewart+crafts&t2=punches&t15-19=wedding

You could punch one side of the longer edge of the inside paper. I would do an ivory or cream coloured paper for the inside of the card.

@MexiPino:  I agree with this.  Ecru or the lighter blue from the print paper will look lovely.  She could even just get a stack of the inside paper to write the thank yous on, then glue them into the notes so the brown corregated cards don’t get “squished”.

@eocenia:  I’ve only used the straight edge punches, not the circular punches. I just googled the name of the punch you sent, and there’s a tutorial on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2Flk0-cdq0 The finished product looks super cute, but I just wonder if there’s anyway to adjust the final product so it will fit in your card.

I can speak for the straght edge punches, and can tell you they’re super easy to use. And the finished product looks great!

Aside: what did people do before YouTube?!?!

@eocenia:  Since the circle punch won’t work, I suggest the straight edge punch. You can get them do you can do corners if you want. You could look at something like this: http://shop.marthastewart.com/Martha-Stewart-Crafts-Punch-Around-the/A/B004JZO2YW.htm

Fiskars also has straight edge punches, and they’re available at Michaels as well. Here is a cute one: http://www2.fiskars.com/Crafting/Products/Border-Punches/Hearts-Border-Punch#.UZ-tcqI3tqw Not sure if it has a corner option though.
