I would definitely go with vodka for one of your signature cocktails. Vodka/grapefruit is a yellow-ish drink and is called a Greyhound… could you fudge around with that name somehow to fit in with your wedding?

@Beachy0404:  Do you have a sweet sparkling wine (Prosecco, Asti, André) available by chance? If so I have a great cocktail that’s been a huge hit at my bar recently.

Saria, care to share? I will have Asti and I’m also looking for signature cocktail ideas.

We’re from the midwest but both live in NYC now (brooklyn to be exact.)

Almost every night I make myself the following:

  • Bourbon
  • Coke
  • Grenadine
  • cherries

It’s my nightcap.  So we’re making it our wedding drink and calling it…..The Brooklyn.

If we were getting married here in NYC it might seem weird but in our homestate I don’t think anyone will think much of it.  It’s just a super simple concoction I came up with since moving here and we love it.  Guests also get that drink at a discount when they order it and I think one of the most common cocktails people order at weddings is a JAck and Coke so this should be a money saver for us!
