We’re having an open bar at our wedding but my wedding coordinator just asked us today if we were planning to have a signature cocktail or 2. We hadn’t even thought about it but sounds like a good idea. The colors of our wedding are yellow, grey, and white so probably looking for a yellow and clear(ish) cocktail. The liquors and mixers we have to work with are rum, whiskey gin, vodka, bourbon, red wine, white wine, coke, sprite, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, tonic, and club soda. Does anyone have any recommendations of yummy cocktails and fun names for them?

I would definitely go with vodka for one of your signature cocktails. Vodka/grapefruit is a yellow-ish drink and is called a Greyhound… could you fudge around with that name somehow to fit in with your wedding?

@Beachy0404: Do you have a sweet sparkling wine (Prosecco, Asti, André) available by chance? If so I have a great cocktail that’s been a huge hit at my bar recently.

@Saria213: we’re only doing a toast with champagne 🙁 so that won’t work but thank you!

Saria, care to share? I will have Asti and I’m also looking for signature cocktail ideas.

We’re from the midwest but both live in NYC now (brooklyn to be exact.)
Almost every night I make myself the following:
It’s my nightcap. So we’re making it our wedding drink and calling it…..The Brooklyn.
If we were getting married here in NYC it might seem weird but in our homestate I don’t think anyone will think much of it. It’s just a super simple concoction I came up with since moving here and we love it. Guests also get that drink at a discount when they order it and I think one of the most common cocktails people order at weddings is a JAck and Coke so this should be a money saver for us!
