Hey ladies- looking for ideas of how to make this work… as my FI and I love to travel and met in another country, and half our guest list is coming in from overseas, I’m doing a lot of travel-inspired things at our reception. One thing I want to do (that I got the idea from here of course!) is luggage tag place cards. But I also wanted to use little chicken, cow, or carrot stickers to designate who ordered what and I was planning on doing that on my place cards before I came up with the luggage tag idea.
My problem is I can’t figure out how to make them work together… I feel like I need to abandon one idea, probably the sitckers.
My concerns are that our guests will pick up the luggage tag and put it in their bag or start playing with it, instead of leaving it out where the waiters can see the sticker. And, possibly more important, I’m thinking a sticker of a cow will look ridiculous on my cute luggage tags!
Any ideas of how to make it work together or feedback on how you desiginated food choices are welcome!

Can you put the stickers at their plates instead? Are you having assigned seating or only assigned tables? If you’re having assigned seating, I would put the sticker on a little escort card at their plate. If you’re just having assigned tables, I would tie a small tag to the luggage tag and put a sign up to keep their luggage tag by their plate until after dinner. Something like a small tag tied to the luggage tag that on one side has the sticker and on the other side says “remove me after dinner!” or something.

Do you know what you want the luggage tags to look like yet? Maybe you could do a different colored ribbon on them for the different meal selection if you don’t want to use a sticker.

@OliveLucy: Ooooh that’s interesting! Good thinking! I love my little cow and carrot sticker idea, but I think your idea is way easier.
@futuremrsk18: I think the sign is a good idea too – then they know not to move it!
Wow, that was easy – thanks ladies! You rock!
