I am trying to cut anywere to save some money. One of the things that is not very important to us is FLOWERS. We want to spend no more than $150 on flowers that iscludes bouquets etc. The venue is unique as it, does not need alot of decor at all. Can some one show me some ideas about minimalist bouquets/decor. My colors are grey, white, black, plum. Weding will be host at vintage car museum/art gallery

If you are wanting fresh flowers, costco has packs of 10 pre made bouquets for $99.
Otherwise, you could go with an inexpensive alternative such as silk flowers, paper, felt, or even ribbon flowers. Or carry something else entirely such as a lantern, purse or candle.

I’d also recommend hitting up the farmers market. Early September will have some beautiful flowers in season.
I’ve also seen planted mum centerpieces for very cheap during the fall.

For our wedding we did paper flower bouquets & bouts. With Hobby Lobby always having 50% paper sales & their weekly 40% coupon I know I didn’t spend much at all.
For my moms upcoming wedding we’re diong brooch bouquets & bouts and doing simple tulip arrangements for the reception. We can get a “bouquet” of tulips at our local grocer for I think 9 bucks a pop and 8″ vases for around ~$4 with coupon and sales so that will be pretty reasonable too. Here’s a pic of what we’re plannnig

Use lots of baby’s breath… It is beautiful on it’s own, and very inexpensive! You can also have your girls carry single stems (i.e. One Gerbers daisy, One rose, one calla Lilly).

@brokeninnj: I’d suggest going to one of the flower districts in NYC, since you are pretty close. I think there are several areas you can go to. You’ll be able to get a ton of flowers for pretty cheap!

@brokeninnj: Try Sam’s Club. We are doing that and are saving a lot of money! Their flowers are really pretty!

Oh definitely DIY then! You can just stick to a simple arrangement (I like the look of all roses) and purchase them at Costco or find a wholesale flower mart near your home. Pick flowers that are in season and maybe just do simple arrangements with candles surrounding the centerpiece. I think it can look very elegant:) Also, check out fiftyflowers.com:)

@brokeninnj: Use in-season flowers only, fill ou with botanicals, baby’s breath and oher fillers. Perhaps consider only YOU having flowers and your Groom having a boutinniere (sp). No one else will miss it and you can stay within budget.
Also check out your grocery stores for their in-house design deals.
