I'm wondering if any of you know where online I can find ivory satin buttons for my wedding dress. I need 140. I've tried Joann's online and they are not available there; any other thoughts?
I'm planning to add them to my zipper and down the back of my dress and train. I am having my alterations done by someone other than the woman at the bridal shop where I purchased my dress so I haven't talked to anyone at the shop about this yet. I would rather get them myself via the web if possible.
There are a lot of great button and trimming stores in NYC. You could call them. I would recommend getting white satin buttons and then having them dyed to match the ivory of the dress. It will be too hard to match the color if you are going to buy online
I just bought a bunch in different sizes from ebay seller fact. They were very fast, and communicative. It looks like they sell them in packs of 10, and were super cheap - I paid between 1.10 and 1.60 per 10, depending on the size.
Hope that helps. I like bigapplebaby's idea of buying white ones and having them dyed.

Thanks much. I'm looking for the 11mm size.

try www.mjtrim.com - the great mecca of trims in nyc, or www.ejoyce.com, another very nice trim store.
good luck!

They are $3.75 for 12 buttons, and you can also buy elastic button loop tape, which makes it so much easier to sew on.
I have not ordered from this website, so I can't endorse it, but I am planning on ordering my veil supplies from them soon.
