So I’m considering giving out 1.5 oz cans of jam as favors at our wedding. There is a Blueberry farm near our venue that makes fantastic Jam every year. It seems appropriate to give something out that is local that we love (they also have the most fantastic breakfast food and they let you upick blueberries, its just overall a great spot).
The only problem is that the smallest jar they sell is 11.25 ounces. I thought this would be no big deal to separate those into 1.5oz jars but a friend of mine asked the question of how do you handle jam that’s been opened and isn’t refrigerated? If they are refridgerated most of the day and then out in possible heat but under a tent for a few hours, are they going to go bad? Is there something I can do to re seal them?
