I am a very modest person..i never show clevage, never do frilly. We are have a small fairly informal wedding..i am having a bridedmaid and 2 jr bridemaids (only cuz they are my besties 2 girls and they are like my kids) ANYWAY i really would like some outside thoughts on these 2 dresses. Keep in mind I am 42 and full figured

I like the first one. I love the lace detail at the bottom and the fact that it’s strapless, but in a flattering way 🙂

They’re very pretty. I know you said you’re modest, but being full-figured, I would be concerned about the way the short sleeves would cut off your arms. How do you feel about high-neck halters?
We neeed to see you in some dresses to be sure 🙂

@pgilley30: Ooooh and should i do a veil or just leave it..i was thinking since it is informal then forget the veil??

@pgilley30: I think nº 1 would be much more flattering, while still modest. have you tried them on? dresses will usually look very different in person, you should go take pics 😉

I like the first one. It’s very romantic.
You should add a poll!

Dress 1! It is much more flattering and still allows for a good supportive bra.

I also like dress 1 — dress 2 looks more like things I’ve seen on so many brides before. I would like it if you were going for the renaissance/historical vibe, with the split skirt. Though you said you don’t like frills, is the lace on #1 too much?

I think the neckline on the 2nd one would be fantastic for you, but the 1st dress is prettier in it’s details.
It would be awesome if you could find something that has both of those positives.
Something like this with a more A-line skirt
