Ok, I posted last week that I couldn’t stop thinking about a certain ering. I went back into the jewelry store to ask some questions and to see if there was a website I could visit to keep looking at this ring. I love love love this setting but now I’m starting to wonder. First off, the center stone will be a 1ct Forever Brilliant Moissanite. the setting is all diamonds. My concern is that since the “halo” diamonds are bigger, will I be able to see a difference in color between the moissy and the diamonds? The halo diamonds are kind of set at an angle (you can really see it in the middle pic) so keep that in mind too. the center stone in the pics is a diamond, I got these off of the designer website.
So, Moissy experts, what do you think? Will the 1ct FB moissy and diamonds mismatch? Heeeeeeelp!

Yes, there will be a slight difference between the two, but I doubt it will be noticeable enough for most people (possibly yourself included depending on how color sensitive/detail oriented you are) to see. The moissanite will have more of a rainbow sparkle, which I think is great as it’s the main attraction so to speak!
That setting is to die for by the way!

I knew the sparkle would be different. I’ve still never seen a Moissanite in person so Im really curious to see what others think

I think you’ll be fine! They’ll probably look very similar, if you can even tell them apart at all.

I have an amora with really small diamonds on the side, and have never noticed the difference.
In this case (since the diamonds are bigger), even if you do notice a difference, chances are that the same thing could happen with a diamond center. Not all diamonds are a perfect D in color, so I’m always left wondering why moissanite is always held to this practically unattainable standard.
I think it’s a beautiful ring and if you feel comfortable rocking a moissanite, GO FOR IT!
