Help. I read somewhere that your bridesmaid dresses shouldn’t match you table linens. Well mine match. EXACTLY. And every since I read that, it has been bothering me. So what should I do?
My bridesmaid dresses look like this (the top is “pumpkin” and isn’t quite as red):
My overlays like this (with ivory underneath provided by venue):
And I have these runners:
Is it too matchy matchy? Or am I cazy and need to stop second guessing myself?
Because I’m seriously thinking of selling the overlays and runners and just going with burlap runners on top of the ivory tablecloths for our fall wedding. Something like this:
Our centerpieces use birch wood and red and orange flowers if that helps.
So leave as is or change? What do you think?
Please vote and leave any suggestions in the comments. Thanks for your opinions ladies!

@future.mrs.f: Personally i dont like matchy matchy decor .It irritates me a bit . I would for sure change something if i were in your shoes .
My bridesmaid are wearing royal blue tafetta dresses and because of this and to avoid matchy matchy decor , my linens are tiffany blue and so is my uplighting .
Sorry ! Hope i help a little .

It would be a bit matchy matchy for me too. I would suggest 2 possibilities:
– use your brown overlays with burlap runners, you can bring in hits of orange with your flowers
-switch to white linens with the burlap runners

the brown tablecloth doesn’t bother me with it, but having the orange runner with orange flowers does..so I would do the different runner or none at all and leave the pops of color for the flowers

I would use one or the other (not overlays AND runners) unless they would be done seperately (some tables with overlays, some with the runners). Since your BM’s won’t be sitting down for a large part of the reception, why would it matter if they match the linens or not?

Hmm, yea, if they just happened to both be a shade of blue or something, I’d say no big deal, but since both are 3 colors and those colors match so exactly I’d say change something.
