I’ve become a little notorious around the Hive for Going Big….on literally everything, except my dog I guess…who is very, very small. But I digress….
Creating a fabulous and memorable holiday season is certainly no easy task…and if you really want to get in to the good places, you start reserving at the end of September, because by October 15th…its over and there are no reservations to be had….
On this adventure, my Mother, my Step Mother In Law and my Sister in Law will be in attendance…this is ladies day out! I’ll be spoiling the hell out of my niece and daughter in my own way this season….SO…I could:
Treat all of the ladies to an opulent afternoon tea at the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver…its lovely, its delicious and they have some broad that looks like Dr. Quinn playin the harp…AWESOME!
Treat all of the ladies to a manicure and pedicure up at the fabulous Tallgrass Spa in Evergreen Colorado….this is the ONLY place I go for spa days, a remote and rustic retreat up Millionaire Mile in the Upper Bear Creek…the drive alone is worth it and the staff is amazing!
Treat all of the ladies to a luncheon at the Melting Pot in Littleton, this used to be the library there and its an absolutley gorgeous place to eat! I think if I go for this one, I’ll invite my niece and stepdaughter along simply because my daughter would kill me if she found out I went without her and my neice is a tender soul….
They all have a downside to them all….tea could be viewed as a little stuffy, and since my Step Mother in Law must travel an hour, its a long trip for a few hours.
The spa is great, its an even farther drive, and my Sister in Law is a bit sensitive to products and could have to limit or skip things.
I am a card carrying member of the Ladies Who Lunch..so for me, this would be heaven, but for others, it would be boring, tedious and if you have food sensitivities….like SIL…bad.
I’m at a total loss and just don’t know what to do…am I totally diluding myself thinking that getting these women together is a good idea at all? Should I just do seperate engagements for each of them and call it good…or what?
