I don’t like traditional bridal jewelry, so figuring out my accessories has been kind of annoying. I’m having a 6:30pm wedding at a natural history museum. It’s going to be formal but not black tie. Am I crazy to think that I could pull off wearing either of these two necklaces? My MOH thinks they’re too casual. I like them, but I definitely don’t want to look like an idiot on my wedding day. Give me your opinions please!
And my dress for reference

Honestly I agree with your MOH. They do not match your wedding dress at all. I would keep on looking.

I have to agree with your MOH, Im sorry 🙁
Your dress is so beautiful – I think the necklaces just dont match it.

Thank you…I really have no sense when it comes to these things.
Can anyone show me a style of necklace that would go with my dress? I’m thinking something simple, like a pendant or something along those lines.

the dress is so elegant… they just don’t match
I beat you could find a very unique vintage piece that would be beautiful

Are you thinking about getting a necklace with some color? Do you prefer gold or silver toned? Something more blingy or simple?

I’m not a fan of either or those necklaces with your dress. What about a nice pair or earrings and bracelet. I just don’t feel those necklaces would compliment your dress at all.

@Feigem01: I’m just now seeing this. I don’t really like rhinestones, but I do like that Blue Nile necklace. Thank you!

@MrsBot: I like those necklaces but not for your wedding. You dont have to go traditional but I would dress it up a little bit.

Pearls would belovely with your dress! They’re simple, classic and not too showy. Perfect for those of us who are unaccustomed to accessorizing 🙂

Again I agree with what your MOH said. Maybe you could find a similar style to those necklaces with less chunky chains and just a solid silver color?
They are just WAY to casual for even the MOST casual of weddings.
