Ok, I'm offically addicted to wedding bee and now rely on u all for every wedding decision lol

I'm getting married in October and wanted to bring in a subtle Autumn theme with my decor.  However our colours are charcoal & petrol blue and our wedding will be quite modern.

I cant seem to find any autumn decor inspiration that matches our theme, it all tends to be oranges and very rustic (which is lovely, just not what we're going for)

Would appreciate any pics & suggestions u might have

@oct2011: Do you really want an "autumn theme"?  Maybe you could just go with a more modern theme? I don't think it matters the season, or that it has to correlate.

Emmmmm im not quite sure what i want! lol

Our wedding is in a hotel & BM dresses are more long gowns than traditional BM dresses. Hubby likes v modern things.

I just thought it would be nice to incorporate the fact that its autumn somehow

You should check out projectwedding.com.  They have an absolute ton of inspirational pictures that you can filter by color.

The only way I can think to do this would be to introduce nature/fall decor into your scheme. Using dried nature aspects - like dried grass, birch, twine, twigs - neutral toned elements that remind you of fall, but that won't clash w/ your colors.

I have also seen brides paint min pumkins in their wedding colors if you want to go that route.

you can always like... spraypaint acorns silver or something, yaknow? our wedding is in October too and we're going for modern, but our colors are a lot warmer so it's easier to get that hint of the season in there. i would just try and go for some type of natural elements and give them a twist!

twigs can make for really pretty centerpieces and can be made any color that you want. my FI and I are getting married in September and are having pies instead of a cake in order to inccorporate some "fall" and "local" into our wedding.

Just because your colors aren't really tradtional fall colors doesn't mean you can't easily incorporate them into your wedding. For example, have you thought about incorporating a modern design of a tree or leaves into your invitations? Instead of hacing red and orange leaves falling you could have your charcoal and blue. Guests would get the fall feeling without losing your modern touch. Just doing a quick google search comes up with some cool options. Check out these trees! I can just imagine how cool they would look in your colors!
