Everything I do it rains, so I have to be prepared to take pictures somewhere outside, and somewhere inside if my luck continues ;)
Getting married at the Grand Valley Dale Ballroom...want to leave premises for pictures, so need suggestions!  Desperate since I currently live out of state and can't look around.  Tried contacting the statehouse, but they said someone already "reserved" rights to take pics there that day... :(

I don't really know that side of town...sorry!  It's looks like there is an Alum Creek Park near there but I have NO idea what that is like.  Gahanna is nice, so there are probably good places near there.  Ask your photographer for suggestions...they should have some ideas or be able to scope it out if they are in town.

Gahanna sounds nice!  Do you think Easton would be too crowded on a Saturday for pics??

Gahanna has a creek/ravine area that would look nice in phtos. You really are not too far from downtown just hop on 670, there are many great spots if you want an urban feel you could pose under an ad that is painted on a wall or in front of different buildings, he convention center is kinda cool looking. North Bank Park is a great place to have the city skyline in photos.

For outdoor picks, the streets of the Short North would be nice. Lots of great brick, overhead lights at night, windows, etc. Same with High Street by the campus, though a bit grungier, if you went to OSU. For indoors, the North Market could be really fun, especially if you are foodies at all. For a rock and roll look, pictures at Buckeye Donuts. I once saw Prince there!

    Gosh, I miss Columbus!

@silveramos-- that is Creekside and it is awesome! You should definitely go there for some outdoor pics if you want nature-y ones. Also love the idea of going to easton where you could do pics both indoors and outdoors (warning-- security won't let your photog do any area shots of easton that don't have you in it, but as long as he is focusing on you it is ok... i almost got kicked out once! haha). Also-- even if you can't go in the statehouse you could do some pics on the steps and that would be cool (and the top of the steps is covered). i can't really think of any more indoor places but if i do i'll come back!
