I am sitting in my home office with four printers that SUCK.

I am looking for a good printer that I can printer regular word and excel documents, personalized photo cards, etc and also print beautifully colored labels/stickers for bottom of hershey kisses. I am not concerned with heavy cardstock just beautiful colors of photos or just colored ink.

I am only looking for a printer that is reasonably priced that the ink is not expensive and lasts for many printouts.  Once I receive some model numbers, I will begin my search for a gently used printer on craigslist and ebay. Mu Kodak Easy share 5300 with reasonably priced ink did not last very long.

    Can you help?

I love my Epson Artison 700. It's well priced. And is awesome.

I have a Canon MX310 that worked really well for our projects. The ink lasts a decent amount of time, but costs about $40 to replace. I'm sure you could decrease this cost by having your ink refilled a few times.

We have an HP 5610 All-in-one printer (fax/scanner/copier too) and it's pretty great.  I think it was on sale at Christmas for around $100.  Black ink is $22 but I've found it as low as $17 on Amazon.

I printed all of my sister's wedding programs and it was very fast and efficient.  It took about 1 cartridge of black ink to do 100 programs front & back.

Does this printer print in color by any chance, if so how much does that ink run.

Boston is my favorite city, my hubby just surprised with a trip in September.

We just went through the same thing! We ended up buying an HP Photosmart Premium C390. I LOVE IT! I've printed all of my invites & accessory cards, including on some paper that has a sheen to it. I think we paid $130 at Best Buy. The ink can come in just a basic or what they call XL, so you get 3 or 4x as many pages. We bought a double pack at Costco of the XL ink for $60. We were going to go the laser route, but I'm glad we chose this one, because its designed to print photos, and has a higher quality color & fine print.

We also have a Photosmart. I like their cartridge system because you can just replace colors that are out, not the whole strip. I had some trouble printing my envelopes, but it was only because I had no idea what I was doing.

mrsheart, yes it does print in color but I don't use much of that.  They have combo packs of black & color, and also 2 packs of color ink on Amazon.com.  The 2-pack of color ink is $48.  Combo black + color is $36 and 2-pack of black is $33.

Like I said, my sister's programs came out amazing.  No smudges even after 100 front & back pages of printing.
