i will be getting maried in South Lake Tahoe April 2013, it will be very small (<25 people) and very casual. I am an out of towner from the Northwest and need help picking some locations; my mom and I will be taking a trip in June to check stuff out but I need somewhere to start.
Ceremonly will probably either be at Zephyr Cove or Logan shoals/Vista Point (these are both in SLT right?? 🙂
We are looking for restaurants that have some sort of banquet room that can accommodate 25 guests. I’m thinking somewhere casual for rehearsal dinner (I have heard good things about McDuffs) and somewhere maybe a little nicer for the “reception”, but not too fancy.
Any input is GREATLY appreciated!!

@honeygoldbee: I should also mention that Fiance is vegetarian, and I am pescaterian (eat seafood but no mammal meat), so steakhouses are probably out.

@honeygoldbee: I would check out Blue Angel Cafe – their food is so good and they have a lot of vegetarian options! They have the main resteraunt area, but I believe they also have a room upstairs you can rent for special events. We ate there for the first time on our last visit to the area and were very impressed!

@UA2Mizzou: I was going to suggest the Blue Angel, too! They have a private banquet room upstairs that is very cheap to rent out. MacDuff’s serves great pub food, but they’re very small, so you’d probably have to call to see if they can accomodate a group your size. Other suggestions:
Fresh Ketch (they have a private banquet room upstairs and they’re right on the water)
Riva Grill (they also rent out the upstairs and are right on the water; they’re a little on the fancier side)
The Chart House (on the more expensive side, but they have incredible views of the lake and can accomodate a group that size)
The Rockwater (very casual pub food, but they have a great garden area you can rent out for group events, if you want the option of being outside)
