Are you sure the $200 isn’t *just* for the setting? A 7mm round will be smaller than a 7mm cushion, so there is that factor, and if you want a cushion cut, I’d stick with the FB moissanite.

The differences between the Amora gem and moissanite is that the AG is true colorless, has a hearts and arrows cut, while moissanite will always have some sort of tint (yellow, green, etc.) to it and comes in round brilliant cut, but they do have  *some* H&A too (6.5 and 8mm only currently.

Is the AG an upgrade over FB moissy? Depends on whether or not you like the cut and prefer colorless stones! For $200, if that is an AG with the ring, I’d snap it up, depending on the specs of the stone (color and clarity) it is easily worth around $600. You’d likely only get around $4-500 on the second hand market, but that’s still a nice return.

I’ve never seen the Amora in person, but judging by the prices listed on the website $200 is an AMAZING deal for ring and gem. Wait are you talking about an amora gem or an amora moissanite? Either way I think it’s a pretty good deal.

That is a fantastic deal actually, it would cost you SO much most full price. You are saving at least $500 and it’s very hard to get an Amora stone in that size anymore. I myself have a 7mm Amora round and LOVE it. I think if you are still on the fence, you should go for it…seriously. If I was looking for one, I would definitely get that because you are not only getting the stone, but also the ring. Just wanted to chime in with my opinion, but I LOVE my Amora and wouldn’t trade it for anything…including the Amora Gem. It is a very white stone in every lighting and I can’t imagine another stone. I have a FB also and while it’s pretty, I think the Amora is whiter in all lighting. Please let us know what you end up deciding and if you get it, post pics! 😉
