hey ladies! So I have a bunch of ideas for the reception decor/cp's. I just want some input. So far my venue provides white chairs/covers,my choice of tablecloth overlays(i dont think silver or the blue I want) and flowers. We also have tons of candles and twinkle lights. I am going to have blue uplighting for it to have an icy look/feel. Our ceremony is in a garden and I will have it be all white. Maybe have some falling snow if the mngr approves the snow machine provided by my DJ. Which the manager was the one who mentioned it to ask the DJ:)

So here are the pics I have so far. I love the top one and bottom one. Top is more fun and simple. Bottom, glamourous. I want touse both but dont know if it will look good.

It will be darker in the room. We will have about 50 guests and 7-8 table I am guessing.

I love all of that stuff, especially the blue uplighting!  I can't wait to see pics of how it all turns out with the snow and stuff.

I love the bottom picture, that was our original vision for a wedding. Depending on what your budget is, those type of centerpieces can get very expensive...that's why we ultimately decided against them. If it's in your budget, I love the way they look. Ornaments on the other hand are super cheap, especially if you hit after-Christmas sales. I do think the blue uplighting gets you a lot of bang for your buck, decor-wise.

Hope you are prepared to wait 409 days lol!! What would you choose? I dont think the big ones would be too big, especially if I did a smaller version... like this Need some help for my Winter Wonderland wedding! : wedding winter icy blue wedding Winter Wonderland Centerpiece With Hydrangea Roses And Branches

How much do you think? If I buy everything at Michaels and spray paint the branches silver? They give me  flowers and I can use mainly carnations and maybe add some fake flowers as a filler.

I love the picture of your venue-- I think you should use the trees with twinkle lights but not put anything tall on your tables/centerpieces because the room would look a little too busy with all the tall things?

that'd be really pretty-- then people would feel like they were outside with all the trees and fake snow, but could still see everything from their seats instead of just looking at tall centerpieces.

(plus if you don't have tall centerpieces then they can actually talk across the table!)

That makes so much more sense! What about colors for the table?? I want to incorporate blue somewhere...maybe the napkins and chair sash? Or just stick to silver/white? I am trying to use Horizon from Db or an icy blue too

I guess using silver/white would be better because I am using blue uplighting. I will put my MOH and the best man in blue... and leave it as that for a pop of color:) I love the WB:))

I love the bottom one! I was thinking of doing some just like that LOVE LOVE! Also another idea for you... have you heard of a manzanita branch? They are pretty cheap and if you ordered some crystals to hand I think it would be beautiful you could do them on everyother table and maybe. Do some high and low ones

@Widdget: I dont really want to use branches only because there are trees in the reception room. Its an inside garden.

If you are having a head table, you could do the tall centerpieces on that, and then maybe on a guest book table-as well.  The lower Christmas balls centerpieces could be on the guest tables (which will save you lots of $$$ and allow your guests to chat more.  Or you could 1/2 & 1/2 of each of the lower centerpieces, with carnations instead of roses.  You could see about royal blue sashes and/or napkins at efavormart.com   BTW-I recommend determining which aspects you wish to spend your money on before you decide on everything, then add in a buffer amount.  Just my 2 cents worth. ;)  If you want snowflake napkin rings you could always use snowflakes from Christmas decor and tie them with ribbon?  Is it important for you to have flowers -or pretty decor? Just some ideas to think about. :)

@creativeplannertobee: what is the point of a guest book? LOL I dont even think we need one.. we are only having 50 ppl. I want it to look elegant...so I am thinking all white flowers for CP and maybe the xmas balls on the cake table/bar area. there is alot of thinking/planning to do. I thought I had it allll figured out! I gotta shop soon for all the good xmas decor! It will be wayy too late next yr this time.

Well I am biased cause I am using Christmas baubles in my centerpieces but they are super fun, and if they are shiny or whatever they look super cool in candle light. As pretty as the trees are, I think tall centerpieces just make talking across the table really hard. But either way it looks cool!

@chasesgirl: do you have any pics?? I am def.leaning towards the xmas balls and a low cp. Because there are trees with twinkle lights in our venue. Our ceremony will be outside and all white winter feel. Inside reception blue uplighting and white flowers and the balls so far:) Sapphire blue something somewhere!

The flowers are included in our package...I can have more if I provide the actual cp. like the glass vase.
