@thumpurr:  First I am so sorry about your ankle I hope it gets better!

I can totally relate to this. I fractured my foot about 5 weeks ago and was super nervous about it affecting my wedding day (turns out I was being dramatic because I am totally fine now, whoops) but anyway have you considered seeing a doctor? Do anti-inflammatories help? Would a brace help? and are your shoes heels?

Unfortunately, if your shoes are heels I think you might need to go with a more supportive shoe for your wedding day. I know it would stink to get your dress altered again but being in pain and unable to enjoy yourself on your wedding day would be worse!

Keep in mind that the reality is except for the toe portion when you walk down the aisle, and the optional shoe shot, your shoes will hardly be seen.

You could opt to a get a more supportive shoe with a chunkier heel, or a wedge, that is the same height as your current shoe.
