I have another fitting with the seamstress the end of January. I took my dress to be shortened in late November. I know that I have started alterations early, but I choose to do it this way since the seamstress is over 200 miles away, and I knew that many alterations would have to be done.
At my last fitting I had my shoes that I plan to wear the day of. I was going to take the shoes to a shoe repair shop because they are a little too tight in the toe area. Well now I have a new problem.
I have a recurring ankle injury, and yep you guessed it. I am currently hobbling around with a very swollen ankle, and I really doubt that my ankle will be anything close to its normal size at my next appointment, or for my wedding day for that matter. I have injured it so many times each subsequent time it takes longer and longer for it to heal, and return to any kind of normal.
What do I do ladies?? I have to go to this appointment. I am not only going for my alterations, but the girls are scheduled to have their dresses fitted, and my groom will also be getting his tux fitted. We are traveling in the winter none the less, and everyone has to coordinate the time off do get alterations done.
Do I just get another pair of shoes this late in the game? I am worried that I will have to have the hem on the dress done all over again……ALL SEVEN LAYERS SHORTENED AGAIN!!
