I’m getting ready to order DIY wedding programs and I realized that I have no idea about the order of the ceremony.
I need help ya’ll!
My problem is that there are going to be two officiants at my wedding, but they will not both perform the vows section of the ceremony. My previous church Pastor graciously agreed to be a part of the ceremony in any capacity that i’d like, but I have no idea where to put him. And I’m one of those people that have to have everything in place, so I’d like to be able to put a certain persons name by their task in the ceremony.
If anyone out there has experienced this and can help, I’d surely appreciate it.

I will be following this thread, I was going to make one just like this! I’m going to be starting my programs soon.
How many guests are you having compared to how many programs are you making??

@MsBrewer: We’re estimating at 120 guests. I’ll probably make 75-80 invitations. What do you think? I hadn’t thought about that ratio until just now 🙂

I googled “order of ceremony wedding” and got some ideas. Lots of brides have posted their ceremonies too (esp on places like indiebride and offbeatbride). That might help.
I’m planning on making the same number of programs as # of guests, probably plus a few extra. It means a LOT more work (they’re pretty labor intensive) but hopefully they’ll be a keepsake. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself, that they won’t end up in the trash :

Well, what elements are you having in your ceremony? You should meet with your officiants and plan the ceremony together before making the programs. They would have a better idea of what parts need to come when or what parts at better at specific times.

@atalante: for some reason we have a lot more men coming to the wedding than women, which is why I thought of that ratio.
@meowkers: Great idea to talk to our officiants! Our Pastor has been on Sabattical all summer, but he’s back this week, so I will definately talk to him. Thanks for the suggestion!

@memphisbelle: You know that sounds about right, I’m still debating with my ratio too! I have right around 200-215 guests, so I’m thinking I might do 150 programs.
My pastor was on sabatical June-July as well! So I think we are going to go through the ceremony with him again as well
