i agree with wendys328!!! thats an awesome idea!!! very unique and original!!! the tags on etsy are cute too!!!!
you could hang the tags from the table centerpieces or attach them to the little sachet of herbs you give to everyone!
What about instead of using the actual herb, you give them a packet of seeds to plant the herb. I worry about the smell of 20+ herbs on top of the scents of dinner and wines and things.

i agree with white sonnet --- go with seeds or a different idea... the smells might b e too overwhelming

I am trying to figure out what to do for table names/numbers and escort cards. I really want to do something different and creative.
Our centerpieces are all wildflowers and herbs in different size mason jars. I was thinking of naming the tables after different herbs and creating little sachets filled with the corresponding herb, to serve as escort cards (i.e. Joey is sitting at "sage" and his escort card is a sachet filled with sage).
Then I found these adorable tags on etsy and wold love to incorporate them.
