(Closed) need some perspective from new moms…

@stressedoutgirl:  We also decided we didn’t want any small children at our wedding.  We had about 7 or 8 kids over 10, my 5 year old niece who was our flower girl, and we made ONE exception for my 4 month old niece who was still being breastfed.

I’m sorry you caved to everyone, really you should have just said “No children with the exception of breastfeeding infants” or something like that.

@stressedoutgirl:  Don’t beat yourself up over it, just try and apologize to the friend if she’s offended, and let her know you really didn’t know about the common exception.

Honestly , some Bees don’t make that exception at all, so if someone is breastfeeding a very young baby who can’t go more than a few hours without being fed and the parent chooses not to pump and bottle, then they just don’t go to the wedding.

I don’t think that you have to let EVERYONE bring their children just because one person is still breastfeeding.
