My bridesmaids will be wearing Navy dresses and the groomsmen will be wearing grey suits or tuxedos. Our flowers will be yellow. I’ve been back and forth between silver and either nude or gold shoes (i think gold may be too flashy but I guess it depends on the shoe). I think a nude would look good with yellow flowers but since the guys are wearing grey, a silver shoe may look better. Dyeable shoes are out of the question (i personally think they are hideous) I’m so bad at making decisions!

My girls wore navy dresses, carried white and yellow flowers, and wore gold shoes. I thought about silver, but it looked bad next to the yellow flowers (in my opinion…)
EDIT – missed the part about the gray tuxes. My guys wore black, so silver could work with the grey as well..

When I wore a navy dress as a BM (and the guys had gray vests under their black tuxes) we wore silver shoes and it looked really nice.

I think gold would compliment the yellow nicely…that seems to be the only color that I would worry about something clashing.

i aboslutely love navy and gold together. i think the gold will look fabulous with the yellow flowers! gold gold gold!!!!

I’m not a fan of yellow and gold near eachother…I would go with silver. Nude is also very in right now. It’s just hard to picture. I think it could be great though!

I think silver will look best – silver, navy and yellow go well together…IMO gold and yellow dont go as well

I’d go with a gray shoe more than a silver. Gray is more like nude in that it would blend in more while still staying with the palate.
Silver isn’t a neutral, but I’d say, with that color combo, it’s better than gold or nude.

Have you considered yellow shoes as an option? It would be really fun.

Without seeing dresses or the shoes you are considering, I am going to say silver would go best. If you have some pictures of the dresses and shoes you are considering, it would be very helpful.

@kala_way:that’s a great idea. i definitely like a grey shoe more than silver. i think what’s been holding my decision up is i’m not a huge fan of anything “shiny” if that makes sense. the grey may alleviate that problem
@Sking: I’ve thought about yellow briefly but I want my bridesmaids to be able to at least wear the shoes again and most of my girls won’t appreciate a yellow shoe. Thanks for the suggestion though!

@noritake22: the dress is the JCrew Sophia in silk tricotine (in Navy of course) found here: http://www.jcrew.com/wedding/Wedding_Bridesmaid/dresses/silktricotine/PRDOVR~62983/62983.jsp’ defer=’defer
I don’t really have examples of shoes because I’ve googled so many different types that it would be overwhelming to compile.

I totally understand not wanting the “shiny”. It’s been difficult to find bridesmaids dresses that are not only not shiny but also short, with sleeves, and in a color I like!
I think the only shiny things in my whole wedding are going to be my ring and the tiny sequences on my dresses belt. Just not into the bling, personally.

I think silver so it matches in with the grey suits. Nude may clash as you’ve already got quite a few different colours and I’m not sure that gold would go with the yellow.
