    Ladies,

I am in need of some song recommendations.

#1 = what do we play when we cut the cake?

#2 = what do we play when we are doing the garter toss

#3 = what do we play during the cocktail hour?  I was thinking Michael Buble, Sinatra, Nat King Col, Ray LaMontagne, Mat Kearney, etc.

    #4 = Mother/son dance?

Are you doing the cha-cha, electric slide, macarena, etc.?

Were not playing anything when we cut the cake just because its usually too loud to hear it anyway. As far as the garter song I think were playing Drop Dead Legs by Van Halen or Another one bites the dust by Queen. We kinda wanted to be cheaky with it! On project wedding they have several lists you can pick from!

#1 = call me goofy but how about "cut the cake"

#2 = if you like frank sinatra then "luck me a lady" could work

#3 = all of your suggestions will work well for cocktail hour

#4 = probably really cliche but...

#2 = NO idea on this one (we're still trying to figure it out)

#3 = Leaving it up to our DJ.

#4 = Asked FMIL to come up with a few songs (if she wanted to)

    here's what we did

1 - sugar sugar by the Archies

2 - American Woman by the Guess Who.  Another option I thought of was Hot Legs by Rod Stewart

3 - lots of alternative/indie stuff, some classic songs like Sonny & Cher, Johnny Cash & June Carter, and Sinatra.  I believe Mrs. Cowboy Boot had a really good list of songs for her cocktail hour.  Search for it.  I used a lot of the songs on her list.

4 - We combined our parents dance.  So Father/Daugther and Mother/Son danced to "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart.
