We got dresses from Light in the Box for my sister’s wedding and they were great.  I’ll be getting them from there for my girls!

Have you considered looking in regular (non-bridal) stores for the dresses? They are usually in the $75-$150 range and can be really nice. If you go to J Crew or a department store sometimes they can be higher priced but those places also usually have a wide variety of options. Maybe it’s best to go look by yourself first to streamline the process, and then the next day go with your girls to try on a couple of options that you’ve already picked out (you can even put them on hold in the stores in a couple of sizes). I think it’s also possible to buy bridesmaid dresses off the rack from bridal stores too.

I’ve seen some nice dresses in Evernew (I think this is even an australian based store?) when I was looking here in Canada… try there maybe? I’d suggest other stores but I don’t think you’ll have them in your country. Good luck!

Yikes, I can see why you want to go the online route. Honestly if you’re flexible then go for that option… it’s worked for a lot of people on the Bee! I would get them ordered asap just in case there’s a problem so you have some wiggle room with the timing.

What Australian city are you in? Luv Bridal in south east queensland has all of their bridesmaid dresses discounted to $149 currently – I was able to buy one off the rack at the Brisbane store on Monday!

Penang1885:  Receiving the dresses so close to the wedding doesn’t leave much time for alterations.  What if they each chose a dress in the same color?

Yes custom sizes – not sure how long they took though as they went straight to my sister. We did all measure then go a bit bigger for fear they wouldn’t fit but they were made exactly to our measurements so we took them in. So you get an idea, here’s a pic:

Penang1885:  Have you checked out David Jones? Or even try Myers again – all the June Midyear/Stocktake sales are starting now so you may find more in your budget than you originall found! My friend ordered convertible dresses from Etsy that arrived quite quickly when her MOH got pregnant before the wedding and the original dress didn’t fit. I’ve heard good things about the website White Runway too from a colleague who is getting married.

Penang1885:  I have ordered formal dresses from LITB numerous times and have always been happy. I always get custom sizing becuase the standard sizes vary. If it is close to the wedding get the custom sizing because then it should fit the BM’s just about perfectly. I would also get someone with experience in mfitting to measure up your girls. Doing it yourself can sometimes lead to incorrect measurements.

The only other thing I can think of is sites like the iconic (they are offering 3hr delivery at the moment I believe), ozsales, buyinvite, easybuy. Some of the UK sites like Next also have quick delivery. They often have formal dresses.

ASOS is another aussie site that has a good selection and they stock plus sized dresses as well. I had a quick look and most are under $150.

If they are all plus sized then Kivalin might be a good store to buy from. They are 100% Australian.

I’ve heard good things about Dido bridal which is an online store too. I found this one http://www.weddingshopperth.com/ when I was just googling but I don’t think they are actually based in Perth but the prices were really good and liked heap of designs. You’re a month away though which is pretty risky for online ordering, I would try Luv Bridal as someone recommended, they are in quite a few states and had some nice dresses.

Penang1885:  My BM’s were spread out and busy also so I just went and bought the dresses and then asked them to try them on. Are you paying for them? Because if you are i would just buy what you want and pass it onto them.
