I would definitely check out designers with destination lines. Some of them specialize in this while others have a destination offshoot of their main collection. They are typically soft, flowy, chiffon type dresses. Maggie Sottero Destinations is a good place to get started. Good luck finding your dress!
A lot of Melissa Sweet gowns are pretty flowy, I can also think of some notable soft, flowy dresses from Amy Michelson and Christos. All three of those designers are on the more expensive side.
Also look at some of the spanish lines, like Aire Barcelona or La Sposa. Any "Destination" collections from any designer. David's Bridal has several flowy, empire styles. Demetrios seems to have a lot of chiffon and organza throughout their collections.
I would look at Claire Pettibone and Christos or Amsale. Good luck!
I second the Melissa Sweet suggestion, also Monique Lhuillier has some beautiful lace dresses, some that aren't strapless, halter, or spaghetti straps. Even the ones that are strapless can be made with cap sleeves. Don't count out a strapless dress because alot of them can be made with some kind of strap. Maggie Sottero does have some really pretty dresses in their destination line but I don't think any of them have lace. Good luck!
I love my Christos dress - lace, silk chiffon, and princess lines. Check out Jenny Yoo - she even offers sale items on her webpage.
try also Paloma Blanca and Mikaella Bridal. Their fabrics are outstanding.
I would also try Jasmine (budget-friendly) and Jenny Packham (not so much). Here are a couple of examples:
I've posted this dress before, but I just love it, so simple and pretty. It's from JCrew's fall bridal line. Not too romantic but could be dressed up easily with hair and makeup.

have you checked out any of the jenny yoo bridal alternatives? I think they are soft and flowy...
You just described my dress! It's the WToo Zora. I'd check out Watters :)
Saja. They are STUNNING and all under $1000.

I need wedding dress suggestions and expertise! It seems many of you have much more knowledge about this than I do.
I'm looking for something:
- Soft, feminine, romantic, comfortable, flowy... not fussy, poofy, stiff or constricting.
The only real requirements are no strapless, spaghetti strap, or halters.
I like soft fabrics and lace. I like sheaths or A-line silhouettes. I'm a size 0, with a small chest, waist, and hips.
Help me find a starting place, please and thank you!
