It's not beach front, but Boca Ciega allows outside catering. It's bayfront. Davis Island Garden Club is also bayfront but allows outside catering. How many guests? I live in St. Pete so, I've checked out a bunch of spots and most of the spots on the beach require you to use their own catering. Let me know if you have any questions.
If I had to guess it would be about 100 people (maybe less). Do you know if either of those places have websites I could have my sister look at?
Thanks SO much!
Hi Monica,
I lived in Orlando for several years, and when I had a day off, I'd always hit up Fort De Soto park because of the pristine beach, blue water of the Gulf, and it was never busy! I always thought it would be a beautiful place for a wedding, and it looks like they have a vendor list who might know more about logistics and outside catering. As far as a summer wedding in Florida, keep in mind it will be HOT, humid and will more than likely rain at 3:00 on any given day.

Also, try Eckard College, as they have a beautiful campus directly on the Bay, and may have ballrooms available for rent.
Good Luck!
My friends are getting married on St. Pete Beach and their reception will be at the St. Pete Beach Community Center. Let me know if you need any other info!
Hi Monica,
There are some great areas to have a outdoor wedding on the beach. A lot depends on your budget. I know of private beach houses you can rent or big hotels that will let have tents on the beach. The Bilmar is on Treasure Island and will allow a complete reception on beach, they provide the food and venue. Thier rooms are priced great and very nice (all Tommy Bahama Decore) ($99to about $140). The barefoot beach resort in Madiera beach is a little more bare bones then Bilmar but has nice clean room and will allow you to have caterers and tents out front. If you are looking to go less formal and want a place that has 5 small cootages that each rent for $350 to $400 PER WEEK! they have a small court yard area right on the beach is the Sea Horse on Treasure Island. The owner is young and very laid back. The cottages are very rustic, about a notch above camping. But they are incredibly affordable and directly on the beach. They do have AC a kitchen and bathrooms, but not fancy. But if you are looking for affordable and a place that will let you throw a big party it works. We own a DJ Wedding Serice and have done over 1,200 weddings in this area so if you have questions feel free to call me direct at 813-770-2150. There are ways to do a great beach wedding in a budget and still keep it classy and fun. www.affordablebeachweddings.com

My sister is getting married in the summer of 2010 and we are in need of some suggestions for the ceremony and reception site in the St. Pete Beach, Clearwater area. We live in IL and IN however our family lives in the area and we have been visiting several times a year for the last 15 years. We need a beachfront location that will allow outside catering and alcohol. Anything anyone can tell us would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you all so much! This site is amazing!
