Hello! I’ve been a long time stalker and this is my first post!
This is my 1.3 carat asscher (well…square cut emerald) set in palladium. I’m torn on what kind of wedding band to get. My FI wants me to get just a plain band so it looks more classic, but of course I would love some bling. However, I’m not opposed to a plain band and maybe getting a sparkley anniversary band.
I guess my question is what shape stones look good next to an asscher without overwhelming it?

Palladiumandasschers: What about a wrap? I think that would nicely accentuate the shape of the diamond plus you can get blingy ones!

I think an engraved band, or a rope band would look nice. Brilliant Earth has a lot of different carved wedding bands. Same with James Allen.
There is an asscher cut eternity ring on Blue Nile but it’s like 4ct total weight lol. Maybe you could go the custom route and get a jeweller to make you a band with asscher diamonds? I think that would look wonderful!

Palladiumandasschers: I used bluenile.com. Granted FI got my ring from there, but they have a “find a wedding band” link. You could probably pick out a setting/stone that looks similar to yours and see the CG display of how they would look together. I really liked being able to see them both together before I bought the band. I could cycle through all the different recommended bands and see how they look with the ering. Even if it was simulated.

This may be WAY more than you’re looking for, but I love these so much – Asscher cut eternity rings…

Palladiumandasschers: GAH, can I just say I want your ring. 😉
I’m obsessed with this set:

Thanks for the tips ladies! I have thought about getting a small asscher band but I’m not sure how small is too small for asschers! I also like that one with the round stones…so many decisions!

Sorry! This is another view of my ring

Palladiumandasschers: Ooo! I love asschers! Your ring is beautiful.
I think some subtle diamonds are in order. Here’s my favourite band, which I think would look perfect. Diamonds but not too blingy.
And here’s some other pics for thought. I shamelessly trawled Google Images, sorry to any Bees if I’ve inadvertently ended up posting your rings on here!

I think asscher cuts would be amazing next to yours!!!! And I’ve seen small ones that are gorgeous!

2ndTimeLucky: I really like the OP er… And I would so not want to overwhem the look. I like the image with the purple flowers. That band looks so nice. I also like the plain band. Or, I would even do a few really thin bands with no stones.

I think this would be pretty!

Palladiumandasschers: OMG, love asschers!! I think a baguette style band would work well, because the shape of the smaller diamonds would complement your gorgeous centre stone and it would give you some bling. I love the first one 2ndTimeLucky posted, or this one below by Bario Neal:

Thanks for all the pictures! I’m actually drawn most to the plain one (surprisingly) or the ones with the baguettes!
