What about just going with your colours and picking out things you like as you plan your wedding? Sometimes a theme will emerge and you don't need to spend ages figuring it out :)
Often times themes are used as a way to represent something about you two as a couple. It could be hobbies, memories, favorite things, vactions, whatever!
For example, we had a country Italian wedding, all based on our favorite place, Italy! So all our printed items were adorned with our signature olive branch, our tables were named after our favorite landmarks that we visited, and we served Italian food with lots of wine, wine escort cards, wine bottle guestbook, etc.
If you could provide us with something/memory/favorite thing we could help give you ideas for your theme.
Dress:
I'm thinking lots of candles and white flowers. See photos below.
Now that you suggested the olive branch, I'm thinking I could tie a small one with the favors (jordan almonds wrapped in tulle with a bow, which is traditional in Greece) with a gold ribbon.

What about the thumbprint tree with an olive tree as the trunk?

Those are all great ideas. I love the ivory and gold combo. I think that you don't really need a theme especially with the wedding in greece. What about having a great monogram designed and using that throughout the wedding? I also like the flour de leis as a them!
Awesome! At first I was going to go all out with the olive branch, but then decided to just use it on my invites, programs, escort cards, menus, etc.
BUT, I did do research about other brides who had olive branches more incorporated with their wedding, so i'll pass on that inspiration to you!

Hi Girls! Congratulations to all of us! : )
Our wedding is 7/10/10 and we are having a destination wedding in Greece. The ceremony is at a beautiful old Greek Orthodox Church and the reception is outside in the evening at a resort hotel by the beach. The colors we have decided on are ivory and gold. I need help with tying a theme into all of this. We want to stay away from anything girly, princessy, or too flowery...and anything associated with beach/destination wedding (seashells, sand dollars etc...) Any thoughts or suggestions?
