- Wedding: December 2013
My wedding dress just arrived in the store! I bought it from a little store a town away from where I grew up. It is a small family run place and the people there have been wonderful and helpful- such a treat after a Saturday afternoon David’s Bridal nightmare!
So I get a letter from the people and they say that I have 30 days to come in and pay the balance, have my first fitting and “inspect” my dress. Since it was made somewhere overseas, I assume this is just for them to cover themselves so that two months from now I don’t call them up and blame them for a rip.
I can think of the obvious things to look for: discoloration, rips, missing beads, uneven stitches. However I was wondering if any bees had some suggestions for things that I should look for? Or cautionary tales of things that you found on your dress, or worse, did not find until later?
On a side note; what did people planning a wedding do before the internet?
