I think it looks beautiful. Those shows can have even the most self-assured brides to be’s second-guessing their dress choices! Is it in your budget to get another dress if you try on more and find one you like?

I would say stick with the original, it looks beautiful on you.

I know what you mean about those shows making you second guess the dress you fell in love with first… I’d say don’t watch them, but who am I kidding! I can’t do that myself! LOL

@hollyberry4:  I agree totally with you! I cried over my dress and I fell in love with it.. no other dress was an option…until i kept watching TLC  say yes to the dress and 4 weddings and all the other shows and second guessed myself.. now I have two dresses in mind and can’t make a final decision and I’m 6 months away!!!!!

@SimpleKitty:  I say go with the one you fell in love with, ignore the TV shows  don’t be like me.. now the dress i fell in love with originally I found back in August 2012, i went shopping b/c of being obsessed with TLC channel and it is causing me to second guess it. Went dress shopping and now i dont know what i’m going to wear.. I think nothing gives you that first dress feeling again b/c you’ve already experienced it…

but if you can afford it.. wear two dresses!

@SimpleKitty:  I definitely did not cry when I got my dress. I loved it when I tried it on and thought “I could definitely get married in this!”, but did not cry. I used to say to my FI “I really hope you like the dress!” all the time until he finally said “Honestly, I would marry you if you were wearing sweatpants. I know you will look beautiful no matter what”.

It really is JUST a dress (although an important dress!). If it looks beautiful on you, which yours does, and makes you feel amazing on your wedding day than it will do the job. If it was a really god-awful dress we would tell you, but that simply isn’t the case! It’s gorgeous! Do yourself a favor and know that you look amazing in it and will look amazing on your wedding day, especially with the hair, make-up, etc!

I think picking the dress for me was harder than picking the venue, and I had buyers remorse for a couple days. Maybe if you post a picture of the other dress you like we can help talk you out of it easier. I think the dress you have on is going to look stunning when people look down and see you at the end of the aisle, not everyone can pull off the little peek a boo thing in the front… (i couldn’t) but it looks awesome on you!  Oh I didn’t cry when I got my dress and it took a couple days after a bought it to really believe it was the dress. Now I know 100% it is the dress though. I really wanted to cry though I wanted to have that moment… but I worked in a bridal shop for a little while and most girls didn’t cry when they picked their dress. It is perfectly normal… I did cry oddly enough when I went to visit a couple of venues

@SimpleKitty:  Well if they obviously loved it I wouldn’t say anything, but if they were having doubts and they themselves thought it was silly-looking then I definitely wouldn’t lie to them. Good luck OP!

Definitly like your original dress better! Way better. I have not gone dress shopping yet, so can’t speak from personal experience but I don’t believe there is just ONE dress out there for you. There are so many beautiful dresses and you would look gorgeous in probably all of them. And yes, you will most likely find a dress you will also like/love if you go shopping again.

I love the dress you purchased. It makes you look gorgeous (and you make the dress look gorgeous). It’s not to traditional, but still very wedding. It has glamour and makes a statement. Keep it! And otherwise give it to me πŸ™‚
