Need to lose 30 pounds! NOT MOTIVATED AT ALL :(

Hey there, I am in the exact situation as you! I have 2 months left and would love to lose 30 lbs too but I don’t think it’s realistic so I’m aiming for 15. 

It’s a hard thing to do but you have to be disciplined. The bad news is we have 2 months, but it’s also the good news is, it’s only two months so tell yourself that you CAN be willful for the next 60 something days! Eat less, snack smarter, and do workout! I am not giving up carbs completely but I will eat less of it, only once a day.

I type this as I just declined my colleague’s lunch invitation to my favorite restaurant because I know I will over eat. I’m having a 110 calorie protein bar and a salad instead. Good luck to us, we CAN do this!

I’m only 30 days away…. my dress fits but I hate my arms. So I’m just eating a bit healthier (fruit instead of snacks, less carbs and dairy) and just started a workout DVD. Both my fiancé and I are doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It’d only 20-30 minutes a day so not a big commitment

mbentley93:  Beachbody’s 21 day fix is awesome. It’s a 21 day program of clean eating and daily (30 minute) workouts. I lost 16 pounds, but I followed the program to the T. I love the program, so I started Round 2 immediately after I finished Round 1!

mbentley93:  I suck at exercise.  I hate it so much.  But losing lbs is 70% diet, so that’s my focus right now.  I’ve been doing vegetarian lunches, and they’re amazing! I get so excited for lunch time.  I use grape tomatoes, black olives, chickpeas, cucumbers and lite balsamic dressing, and it’s DELICIOUS.

If you figure out the key to motivating yourself to exercise, you need to share it with me!  I started Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred, and it’s a great workout, I love it when it’s over and I feel like a beast, but actually forcing myself to put on some sweats and start the workout is an uphill battle!

mbentley93:  I was alway motivated going to a fitness class. They’re more engaging than just working out yourself.

Like Nike says, just do it! My biggest motivator has been watching my body change. My clothes fit way better and I feel sexier! This is what I swear by: weights training 20 minutes four days a week, yes! 20 minutes, only! Switching green tea for coffee. Eating an apple a day and more greens, especially kale and watercress! Lots of sleep and water and don’t give up! Lost 25 lbs so far and haven’t even given up wine! 🙂

adoreprep:  Does the 30 day shred do a lot of arms?? I need something to tone my arms I go to the gym during lunch every day and I’m starting to swim at night because I know that is good for the ar5ms but any additional help with the arms will be great!

Keep a food journal (either pencil and pen or an app like my fitness pal) and write down EVERYTHING you eat. It really helps a lot! I did thst to help me lose about 20 lbs. DH and I gained a little weight back after the wedding so we are doing the food journaling again, and we joined an 8-week weightloss challenge at our gym with weekly weigh ins. We have also done the “challenges” on our own by taping a paper in the bathroom and writing down our weight each week to see the progression. 

Plan out meals and go to the grocery store to buy just the foods you need for the meals, plus some extra food and veggies for snacks. When we are trying to lose weight we usually eat a lean meat with 2 different veggie sides. And fresh fruit for dessert!
