Hey ladies, hoping you can help me out! I have a wedding to attend in a week and a half and the bridemaid dress is really tight! I’m afraid the zipper is going to burst or something. I admit, I’ve gained a few pounds since I was measured for the dress. Wondering if you have any quick ways to lose weight/inches?! I only need to do it for a week & a half and then I can go back to my normal way of eating, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I’ve been struggling with my weight too and the bees have given me some great advice, as have some articles on the internet.
Try to only drink water over the next week and a half. This means no juice, soft drink, coffee, alcohol. For snacks try to mainly eat fruit and natural foods like nuts. Apples are great for your diet as you chew them for a while and it tricks your mind into thinking you have been eating for longer. I would stay away from too many carbs and fill up on lean meats, tuna, salad and fruit.

_blackbird_: Try no/low carb thing. Something about 4 molecules of water attached to each molecule of…whatever a carb is, so you’ll lose quite a bit of water weight once your body burns off your stored carbs.
Something like that. Anyway, water/veggies/lean meat! GO!

I second the only water thing BUT I will say a cup of black coffee before working out can make a huge difference too!

I just lost 4 lbs in about 5 days and I can definitely see and feel a difference. I actually did this by accident. I remembered that I need to have 500-1000 calorie deficit per day to lose 1-2 lbs per week. Then I restarted using myfitnesspal to track my calorie intake and burn through exercise. I completely forgot that the app already decreased my calorie intake to account for the 2 lb per week weight loss I want, so if I just ended up at zero every day, I’d have lost 2 lbs per week. Because I forgot, I was aiming for -500 to -1000 every day on myfitnesspal, which really ended up being -1500 to -2000 deficit each day because the app was already accounting for the weight loss I wanted. I have a home spin bike, so if I was hungry and “out” of calories for the day, I just hopped on the bike for a few minutes. Also, if I exercise at night when I’m hungry, I eat much less after than I normally would have without cardio or before cardio.
After 4 or 5 days of this, I realized my mistake, and I’ve already lost 4 lbs and am back to having a flat stomach. I was hungry at some points and made smart food and drink choices. I’m now back to aiming for the regular 2 lb weight loss per week on myfitnesspal, so a total deficit of 1000 calories per day. I might step it up and return to my quick weight loss mistake for 1-2 days per week before our wedding. I am not personally into cutting carbs personally. I can cut or limit fat or sugars but I like carbs and feeling full. Good luck and be careful!

black coffee and lots of water (with slide of lemon) can help losing the retention weight. I purpose weight myself, ever sicne I start drinking black coffee in the morning, I lost 1.5lbs immediately, and skipping all pop and juice, just aerage 5-8 mug water day day, dropped another 5lbs
absolutely no pasta, bread and rice for a week and a half will help too.

Go strict paleo.no wheat, no grains, no artificial sugars, the only thing you should be eating is basically veggies and meats-fish. Keep fruits to the minimum for weight loss as thei contain natural sugars and can still screw with your insulin levels. Fruits are good don’t get me wrong- they may just stall your weight loss a bit. You should love lots of water weight that way for first week and def have a flatter stomach.

Make sure whatever you do you are healthy in doing it! The best bet is to keep eating but probably go no carbs. It helps weight fall off very fast in the beginning, although you may not feel the best cutting them out all of a sudden.

_blackbird_: Only eat lean protein and veggies, drink only water, and take a probiotic. I would try to cut your portion sizes too. If you can substitute one of your meals for a green shake (apple, romaine, spinach, banana, lemon juice, pear… or look up other shake recipes), that will help too.

i had to do this for a wedding i was in a couple of weeks ago. go on a strict diet only eat clean foods and drink only water. try to exercise when you can but keep the eating to small portions and all healthy foods. oh and wear spanx. 🙂

I’ve never done this but I’ve been looking at it a lot lately, I’m going to try this soon. Since you need something quick try this.http://www.cabbage-soup-diet.com/ it basically helps flush you out. Drink lots of water and follow the instructions. It’s nothing crazy, just lots of soup, veggies and fruits. Also you can buy those wrap things at Walmart, wrap in those (when you are exercising (cardio) then use saran wrap to lose extra water weight (since you are trying to loose inches) to try and get in the dress!
