Hi Bee’s! I was trying to order a 8×10 photo print of my e-pic today on mpix (I love that company). It’s a vertical photo and it automatically gives me vertical crop lines and they are not wide enough to capture the entire photo. Any recommendations for other sites to print? I’m not sure what to do… help!

@Mrs.Firefly1: you would have to print 8×12 to get all of the photo in, as this is the proportions of all photos…does that make sense… so it wouldn’t matter where you went a 8×10 print size will alway crop 2inches off!

@hanzabelle:Okay, I’m trying to understand – I never knew that. So, should I return my 8×10 frame? (I know, stupid question!) Will an 8×12 print fit in an 8×10 frame? I just never knew this!

You could either crop the photo (mpix allows this in the later sections of ordering) to an 8 x 10 size, or get it as a 8 X 12. You would have to get 8×12 frame for and 8×12 picture… hard to find but not impossible- they have them at Micheal’s.

Thanks much to both of you!

You can also purchase 8×12 frames on amazon. That’s pretty much where I end up getting mine if I want to print any of my landscape shots at that size.
