You can use the classifieds on WB or google buy used wedding gown. There’s a ton of sites that pop up. Preownedweddingdresses is pretty popular and also lists gowns that have never been worn. Hope that helps.

Also, I would add make sure you have all of the dresses information – size, color, alterations that were done, was it stained at all when you wore it, have you had it dry cleaned since, etc.  I’d suggest referencing the original listing for the dress on the manufacturer’s website for what you should include,e I see so many listings that don’t even include size!!!!!

Also, real pictures with you in the dress make me think that the ad is not a scam.

I also listed mine on recycledbride.com

Watch out for scammers- I had a really suspect person from WB (has an account, but no posts) contact me. Sigh!

@rebwana:  same thing I got a pm from someone who opened an acct that day and said they are interested in my dress and want a description of my dress and my personal email , but I already listed all the details in the ad. I think the easiest way to distinguish is if they ask for your email . Pm’s work just fine. Careful and good luck!!

@Mrs.Kpop:  from Kathy83? Same thing- opened an account that day, asked me questions that were in the ad. AND- she wanted to have her “wedding planner” (since she moved from Florida to Canada) pick up the dress with a cashier’s check. Uh-huh.

Also try listing it on oncewed.com. Thats where I bought my used dress. Post real (photos you’ve personally taken) of the dress including it on you, and details of any beading, interesting details, the bustle if it was added and any damage (stains, rips, losses). I was only willing to purchase from sellers with real photos (vs stock photos from the designer like the one at the beginning of this thread).

I’ve been trying to sell my original dress for a few months but no luck.  Some of the popular sites (I believe oncewed.com is one of them) charge you to post it.  I’ve posted on Craigslist, Kijiji and of course wedding bee. I’m trying to contact consignment shops now too.
