Aww, I am so sorry sweetie! Hang in there! *hug*
Oh no, I am so sorry! I grew up always having a pet and they are just like family. It's so hard to lose one, and especially hard when you know you only have a little time left with them. Whichever one Cabby is in the picture, they are all beautiful dogs. I'm sending you and your family lots of hugs
oh, JeskaJune20, that's terrible news. I'm so sorry. I hope you have a chance to give her a big hug. Her fur looks so lush and beautiful. She and her siblings seem well-loved.
I'm so sorry!! At least you had 12 great years with her, she looks like a real sweetie. {{{HUGS}}}
Hugs to you. And will say a prayer for her. She's adorable. She was blessed to have had a life of so much love and human as well as canine friendship.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Cabby sounds like a special dog and a great companion. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Oh, I'm so sorry! I lost my childhood kitty to a brain tumor a few years ago. It's hard, and I know how sad you must feel.
Perhaps you could donate to an animal shelter or hospital (as favors) and include it in your wedding program, dedicated to Cabby. I'm sure everyone would be touched by the sentiment.
Hang in there :)
aww, I'm so sorry :(
My Princess is turning 13 in a few days and she's fairly healthy for her age, but I really hate that she's getting old. She's so innocent and sweet and the thought of her ever leaving us is too much.
Dogs definitely don't live long enough. It's not fair. But at least we get to spend the time with them that we do.
*hugs* feel better
You're in my thoughts! Our pets are like family too, so I understand where you're coming from. ((((HUGS)))))
I'm so so sorry, I know how tough this situation is. I wish you and your family the best luck and will keep you all (esp Cabby!) in my prayers.
I am so so sorry to hear that. My yellow lab died of liver cancer and I was devestated. We will be thinking of you. Dogs play such important roles in our life, they truly are part of the family.
I am so sorry! Animals are such an important part of our families, aren't they? When my childhood cat died a few years ago (14-years-old of lung cancer), someone pointed me to this quote:
"Our animals shepherd us through certain eras of our lives, when we are ready to turn the corner and make it on our own, they let us go." Anonymous
Now I have to go dry my eyes... Please keep us posted on Cabby. I wish the best for you all.
Sending so much love and support!!! I would have so much trouble planning a wedding with that going down. I agree with Miss Stellar - we are donating to the shelter where we got our doggie as favors for the guests, that way she can be included as much as possible
*hugs*
Wishing her love and healing Jeska.
That quote has me almost in tears too. I have heavily leaned on my dog Simon, my elderly mastiff all through my divorce and rebuilding years. Just put him on some glucosamine as his years are beginning to show now.
Just hugs to you Jeska and your precious dog. Said a prayer for a miracle and more time somehow.
Our pets are family. Unconditional love. They may not speak our language but their loving actions speak louder than any words ever could. I think that the donation to a no-kill shelter to help bring a sad, lost pet to a forever family would be a beautiful way to honor your sweet dog.
Thank you ALL. It's really nice to hear kind words from people you've never even met.
Update on Cabby: Thankfully, she is eating cooked meats (she hadn't been eating for quite awhile and lost a lot of weight very fast). She was a bag on bones. But she is re-gaining some weight and looks happier & healthier! My mom has really done a wonderful job in figuring out what she'll eat. She cooks for her everyday, and even buys pedialite for her to drink. She is eating some dog food again mixed in as well!
Although she still does not have long to live, being she has cancer, I'm so glad she doesn't look so sad & weak anymore. She looks great for her condition.
Thank you again, I'll keep you posted.
I'm so sorry I didn't see this before. I can totally relate! I'm so sorry you are going through this, but I'm so glad to hear she's doing a bit better for now. Thanks for the update!
Update: It's extremely difficult for my to type Cabby passed this morning in her bed at her home. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. We are happy she got to play in a foot of snow last week, followed by 75 degree weather. She was an outside dog and had a wonderful time. However, the last day or two we knew her time was coming even sooner then expected. It's so hard to say goodbye to a loving companion, but I hope to see her on the other side of the rainbow.
I am SOOOOO sorry for your loss! I'm so glad she was able to be at home with those she loved and in her own bed. If you need anything to help you during this difficult time, just let us know!
Oh Jeska, I'm so sorry. I will keep you in my prayers, I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. (((Hugs)))
Oh Jeska...I am so sorry for your loss. But she WILL be there as I believe all creatures who have the true capacity for love carry the capacity for a soul as well. Many hugs to you.
Wishing you and your family peace during this sad time.
Jeska, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure that the time that you did get to spend with Cabby will forever be cherished memories. I love my little fur baby like family also and I know that it is so hard to lose them You are and your family are in my prayers. *hugs*.
Tears for you and hugs for you is the best way I can express what I'm feeling right now. I'm so sorry, and I know just how you feel, as I recently lost my childhood dog. Just try to focus on the happy memories with her. It will get better with time, but a part of you will always miss her.
I'm so sorry:( my dog is my little man and i can't imagine what you must be feeling.. hugs.
I'm so sorry! *hugs* Our dog is like family, so I can't even imgane how it feels. I hope you can focus on the good memories you have with your pup!

One of my dogs I grew up with, Cabby, (lives with my parents) was diagnosed with liver cancer today. They don't give her long to live. Needless to say, I'm a wreck. We treat our dogs like our family members. They are very near to our hearts and we love them unconditionally. She is the biggest sweetheart and will be missed so much when her time is come.
Caberat... Cabby for short is the white one. Shepherd Mix. 12 years old.
Playing with her real brother & sister in the snow.
