We went with Commerce Flowers. Super reasonable and very, very nice. I think they do tend to underquote, so just make sure that you are very specific about what you want so your flowers meet your expectations.
Try going to downtown by the Flower District. This is why
There are a lot of florisits down there. A lot of competition. They are willing to wheel and deal with you. Cash is you best bet to get a good deal.
Where in LA? The florist at St. Germain's Flowers in Sylmar was great and I love how my bouquet came out. She knows her flowers really well and seems to understand people pretty easily. She was rec to me by my MOH who had used them for her wedding.
Aww it's OK jyam! :) Commerce had such great reviews and I went to them first, but unfortunately the magic wasn't there.
@keepthefaith: sweet! I'm yelping as we speak :)
@verosara: this is so crazy, my co-worker just e-mailed me a St Germain's referral! Must be a sign..I'm e-mailing her tonight
Thank you ladies!!
You're welcome MissLLC, the person I worked with was Michelle.
I don't know where you are in LA but I am using a wholesale florist from Hawthorne. It's not a fancy floral shop but they are big, they are professional and they are cheap!!! If you know what you want you can just go in and tell them exaclty what you are lookig for and they give a quote right then and there. But if you don't know what you want and need guidance, they do offer consultation with the wedding florist. They're delivery charge is 6% of the total bill.

Good luck!
I just booked Bardwells Florist, it's in Sunland. I got 2 arrangements, 6 calalily boutonnieres, 4 cala lily pinned corsages with delivery to glendale for abut $260. But I do know online, they can appear to be pricey, I would suggest going in and they can defintely help and work within your budget.

I've approached two florists about doing my wedding flowers and have been totally turned off by one, and have not heard back on my quote from the other (it's been a week and a half since our consultation). I just left that florist a message so I'm not freaking out... yet. So I need a plan C. Can you recommend your florist?
