    @Reign14:  I would say September. Its not too close to the “holiday season”

    Its the DR, itll be hot during that time. Hopefully youll get a cooler or breezy day.

    November for many people would be very difficult because spending a lot prior to the holidays can be straining and it is close to thanksgiving.

    I would say Sept or Oct. November is a big month for people with thanksgiving. Why do you care if your wedding is the same month as Halloween? It’s just one day, it’s not like a holiday season.

    @Reign14:  November or early December. It will still be hot enough to enjoy the beach but you are extremely unlikely to deal with a hurricane. Definitely skip September; it’s horribly hot and the height of hurricane season. October could work but you still might get a hurricane.

    @Reign14:  Lol at least you’re aware of the crazy. I would look at flights/hotel costs and go with thats cheapest. Maybe Columbus Day weekend in Oct so guests won’t have to use a vacay day? It’s the weekend of Oct 11th this year.

    I’d go in October, since people travel in November/December for the holidays, and September is hurricane season!

    @Reign14:  I’ve been to the DR with my family over the holidays in December and we had a really good time.

    I’m thinking that if you and your loved ones will be there for multiple days, perhaps when you go would be less relevant because you could plan things to be a bit flexible so you’re able to choose the first non-rainy day if you want to have an outdoor wedding.

    I also found this:  http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g147293-i28-k6201365-Punta_Cana_Weather_in_September-Punta_Cana_La_Altagracia_Province_Dominican_Republic.html

    @Reign14:  Thanks! I hope I helped somewhat!

    I read through that thread and a couple of others. I think that whether it rains is unpredictable from day to day, and no one can say with certainty what’s going to happen. The severity of hurricane season also seems to be unpredictable and varies from year to year. If you want to have an earlier fall wedding, I’d probably go for end of September or early October where there is a dip in the chart you posted. If you want to stay away from hurricane season, I think it’d be nice to go sometime in November or early December.
