I am stringing paper lanterns in between the trees over the tables for our backyard reception. I'm thinking of spacing them 3 feet apart, alternating between lavendar and white. I'm unsure to order them all the same size (14 in) or to say, alternate between 14 in lavendar and 12 in white to give it a little more variety. I wonder if this would look good or just messy.
I'm planning to use lanterns in various sizes. I think the difference gives it interesting appeal, but it's really up to you. :) My thought was that all of the same size was sort of more measured and formal and that varying sizes was just slightly more fun and funky. That's just how I saw it though. I think it will look nice either way.
If it was me, I'd do all the same size with 2 colors. I think it would look cool with 2 sizes in one color, but it might be a bit much having 2 colors and 2 sizes.
Just my opinion. I'm sure it will look great either way! :]

What would you all do?
