I’ve been wearing my grandmother’s engagement ring since I got married 15 years ago, but it has snapped for the 3rd time so I need to have the diamond (6mm, just under 1 CT) reset. I am completely unable to choose between these two, so I need the help of strangers. 🙂 FYI, my band is a channel-set half eternity (picture below). Help me decide! (I even welcome totally different ideas.)
RING A (halo-like with accent diamonds):
RING B (Baguettes on either side)–this center stone is a little bigger than mine.

I love the baguette look! I love halos too, but the second setting definitely drew me in and I think it’d look lovely paired with that band! 🙂

To me, halos are a little overrated. Baguettes are more subtle in the bling factor though I may be biased since I also have baguettes in my ring.

I’m partial to halos and I think the halo would be perfect with that band! Not helping the indecision, are we!?!

I think the halo is stunning. I also don’t much like baguette cuts, so I’m a little biased.

Baguettes. I’m not sure if you would want to customize or not, but I found a halo with baguettes on each side that is lovely.

LOL! Thanks so much for your quick replies! This is exactly what’s happening in my family–kids like the halo and husband likes the baguette ring (when I make him pick one). This is a happy problem to have, though. Just wish I were more decisive!
Part of the dilemma is that I have to pick from the stuller website (a jeweler friend of mine is resetting it for me, but doesn’t have the rings in stock). So hard to go by pictures without tryung it on! (It’s been pretty easy to find the baguette style in stores, but not the other one…which is part of its allure. LOL)

Love the baguettes, but I might be biased because that’s my band. 😀

I like the halo because I think it’s so unique! I’ve never seen a ring like that before and I think it’s stunning 🙂

The baguette ring looks really good with your wedding band. So I chose the second ring.

The second one would go really well with the band, but the first one is so unique! I defintely prefer the first, it’s much more interesting.

Thanks so much, everyone! I’ll post a picture when I get it. (I wish this site was around when I got married!)

kerrilyn7: I vote the second ring. While halos are pretty and trendy right now, the second ring is beautful and timesless. You will not regret it.

Love the 2nd one. More timeless IMO…..

Baguettes! Here’s mine to help sway you 🙂 It would go great with your sparkly band. And baguettes flash like no other.
