It will be an outdoor wedding in September. I think I’d go with black in either dress & might have a flower (maybe fuschia or light purple?) pinned towards the front/side of the waist for an accent.
There are just three bridesmaids, all of which are married and in their early 30’s (so the 2nd may be more a ‘grown up’ look if it matters or is more age appropriate).
The link for my dress is also attached if one matches up for an overall better look.

Love the first one with the floral detail – I don’t think it’s too young. I like the belt on the 2nd but am not a huge fan of the pleating, it could potentially make hips look really wide……

i like them both!!! you could always show the two pics to your BM’s and see which one they like best too. you could also find one more dress that’s similar and have each girl in a diff dress. but umm yeah….i cant choose! i like them both!!! lol!

They’re both great – I think it depends on how they fit (neither would be flattering on me). Column cut doesn’t look good if you have weight in your hips/thighs/rear – it also looks less outdoorsy. Empire waist apparently looks good on everyone except for me – I try to emphasize my waist and not my rib cage, and I prefer not to look pregnant.

I think they are both great dresses, I prefer #1 for an outdoor wedding.
Have any of your bridesmaids tried them on?
I initially picked similar cuts to #2, and went to three different try on sessions with three different bridesmaids that are all built very differently and it wasn’t very flattering on any of them. I was able to envision them with alterations, but their facial expressions were truly priceless because they were so unhappy.
I went with a similar choice to your #1 but slightly smaller bodice, I think it’s more of a universally flattering fit since my gals range from 4 – 22.
They’re worth sending the girls out for a try on, to get feedback before locking in, unless they are all built similar to the model that is wearing the dress.

I like the first one…love it, in fact!!

Both are cute! I’d have at least 1 girl try it on to see which is more flattering. Things always look a little more different on. Good luck!

#1 I love the flow of the dress oh so lovely….

I love the first dress. I think it will also be more flattering than the other dress.

I agree with a lot of the other posters. Both dresses are lovely, but I think the first one looks like it would be a bit more flattering to a broader range of body types.

I really like the first one. I do think the second one has a bit more sophistication but it isn’t as ‘weddingy’ as the first. They’re both great, they both can be worn again, especially in black. You probably won’t even need to do a flower in an accent color.

Each of the girls are pretty small, so I’m not terribly concerned with the shape. My sister, and Maid/Matron of Honor, has tried on both & is also on the fence on which she likes better. In person, #1 is a bit of a goofy fit (I think the pic had some serious alterations), but #2 might be a bit plain. Thanks for all the input!!!
