I would change the time of the wedding so I could do a brunch or champagne & cake afternoon wedding and still invite them all.

I’m curious as well about people who have already purchased flights. How do you know others outside of your immediate family and friends didn’t book something already? I think losing money on deposits and downgrading to a cake and punch reception where you can accommodate everyone is far more favorable than letting your guests lose out on money.

I understand that it sucks to be put in this situation but please don’t uninvite people who have already made travel plans.

bellaT2017 :  What are the ‘certain areas’ you ‘can’t lose money in’ if you changed it to a cake & punch reception?

I’d make his parents uninvite all of their family.  They’re the ones who flaked.
