No it doesn't look like cotton; it is just as soft and more comfortable, but more formal and has a slight sheen to it. Similar to the look of the material of the dresses in the picture you posted. I am using it and we are having a pretty formal affair.

@Donnica22: FYI on the cotton cady--it gets WRINKLY really fast. i've pointed this out a few times on other threads too, and somewhere on the 'bee there are photos someone else posted about how wrinkly the drresses get. on a color that light, it would be really noticeable. if you decide to go with the cotton cady, don't let the girls sit down before the ceremony!
we are using the silk chiffon (they have a "wintermint" color) and they seem to hold their shape much better.

My color is mint green. I've even seen some that call it SAGE. So either of those.
I really love THIS dress but don't know who makes it! *Sigh*
